Op.21 No.11
Dear Anonymous, thank you for the comment. You gave a realistic point. I know the laws of the universe. Balance. I did mention in Op.1 No.3. But humans sometimes tend to be a little bit greedy for happiness. Take toddlers for example, aren't they carefree ? It's only when they began to understand, problems start filling in. This entry is not to fire back at anonymous, my point is, sometimes, let's be imaginative and optimistic. Lots of thoughts are in my mind, but yet, it seems they cannot flow out from my mind to my keyboard. I wonder am I blogging or trying to be a columnist here ? Am I telling my stories or stating my views ? Conflicting conclusion. What triggers me to write today is an inspiration by a film I watched.
Fantasia. Titled by Walt Disney and Leopold Stokowski. This was a idea hatched by Walt as he wanted do concert film, which becomes a tremendous great breakthrough for animation and sound. A famous scene which everyone is familiar with, I suppose, is Mickey in a red robe, wearing a magician hat. The background music was actually composed by Paul Dukas, titled, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". Disney artistes listen to the music and thus a remarkable animation is portrayed in front of our eyes. One thought worth to ponder, are the cartoonists merely just follow the music title by Dukas ? Does Dukas think of magical scenerios when he was composing this piece ? I guess they are just making use of what was composed and portray everything out. But, the human's imagination are beyond limits. For example, in Ottorino Respighi's Pines of Rome, one will think of beautiful gardens in Rome. Disney artistes see it as otherwise. They created an animation on whales swimming in the Artic ocean. Sir Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance, the March, often used as the music for graduation ceremony, is actually themed for Noah's Ark. What I like most in the film was the animation after Igor Stravinsky's The Firebird. Originally written for ballet and yet Disney animators did such a good film on it. Especially the blue water fairy, captured my mind. Imagination empower one's mind to see things beyond. That's why I love classical music. Let yourself imagine the scenes while listening. Thoughts flow freely, relaxing, calm and soulful....................A word of caution, beware of the heavy tones. They can startle you.
PS: Anonymous, give a nick for yourself. Makes me easier to address you. Thank you.
