Op.21 No.8
Was listening to Franz Liszt's Saint François de Paule marchant sur les flots, Légende No.2. A piece which I heard the first time back in late 2003. It's full of grandeur, very. A majestic piece of work. Out of the 2 Légendes, I prefer this piece. It's an evocation of the mircale of the fearless Saint striding across the stormy waters of the Straits of Messina. Liszt's inspirations are truly admirable. A virtuostic dexterous piece, yet it has a hymnal theme, which is sturdy and utterly unperturbed. Behind majority of works which Liszt wrote, there is a story or scenerio, which triggers his colorful and imaginative inspirations, bold and daring ideas, romantic and serene thoughts. Thus beautiful music was born. It gives me the feeling to strive again when I'm down, and to cross the seven seas with no fear. Though this piece is grand, it is also romantic and enjoying. The medley chords are big yet it blends so well internally that it outshines the vigorous merciless bass. In four months time will mark the end of 2006. Now is the third quarter of the year. Still remember in one of my entries I was stating the second quarter back then, and now, with a glance of the eyes, it's August. Was wondering what will I achieve towards the end of the year. What will I become ? What will the surroundings be ? And what will you become ? Do imagine for a moment................................
