Op.13 No.9
Oh mine.......it's already the 5th day of Lunar New Year. Time flies in a blink of an eye. Was drinking coffee on Tuesday morning around 0630 hours with my friends at a coffee shop. We just finished playing mahjong. 2 consecutive overnight mahjong is really tiring. But, it's really fun and plus I've made some winnings out of it. Luck is there. I don't like to eat during early hours so I was sitting there chatting with my friends and watching a television programme(the coffee shop has 2 television sets). The programme was showing flocks of cranes flying together, like migrating to other places. It seems like a documentary to me. The scenery showed is beautiful. Nature. Seeing the birds reminds me of wild mandarin ducks, which I saw when I was in Tokyo Disneyland. An enchanting place. It was back in 2005, on 26th October, the second last day of my 5 day trip to Japan. A really enormous theme park. The entrance fee paid was 4,950 Yen, which is equivalent to 74.25 SGD. When you first step into the place, you are greeted by the mascots like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald, Winne the Pooh, Tigger, and some other Disney's characters. Of course, you have to queue if you wanna take pictures with them. It's really crowded but it has more than sufficient and ample of spaces which you won't feel squeezy like you are shopping in Chinatown during Lunar New Year. Straight ahead after you pass the second entrance is the World Bazaar, which sells souvenirs and Disney items. Cinderella's castle is located in the centre of the theme park. A magnificent architecture which makes you feel like you are in a fairy tale. The park has 7 different themes, inclusive of the World Bazaar. They are : Adventure Land, Western Land, Critter Country, Fantasy Land, Toon Town and Tomorrow Land. Each and everyone of them has different types of joy rides, suitable for all ages. What mesmerized me was the ambience, the atmosphere, the flowers and you get to see mandarin ducks paddling on a huge pool which Mark Twain's Riverboat travels on a big circumference. This kind of sight you don't get to see in Singapore. Though it's a theme park, it's beautified by nature, lovely enchanting garden with colorful flowers and greens. Even if you don't take the joy rides, the place, the surroundings, the things you are seeing, enough to allow you to indulge immensely into the aura of the place. Sublimation. Truly a great experience. A wonderful theme park I ever seen. Go with your love ones and enjoy the romantic scenes, watch the colorful cheery parades performed by Disney's characters and be dazzled by the dynamic fireworks during evening. And I'm telling you guys, they are doing this every single day. If you have the chance, do visit Tokyo Disneyland. If Singapore has such a wonderful place, won't it be splendid ?
